Highlights

At the beginning of 2019, I joined KGMedia, one of the largest media companies in Indonesia. Appointed as a UX product designer, I focused on developing the Pasangiklan.com product, the Pasangiklan.com unit is a self-service ad platform aimed for business owners to advertise its products and services in the Kompas Gramedia group. Business owners can place advertisements easily and affordably on digital media, classified media, hundreds of KGMedia social media accounts, and also on Kompas TV.

Overview

What I accomplished.
  • Redesign Pasangiklan Platform (Desktop and Mobile View) to scaleup user login, daily traffic, revenue.
  • UX Audit.
  • Add new service selling products such as Instagram Ad, Advertorial Ad, TV Ad, and Direct Sales. (see case studies).
  • Adding new feature for self service ad platform for user engagement and repeat user (cart page, reorder, new dashboard page, categorize and filter product).
  • Worked cross functionally with stakeholder and development teams to implement ideas to business requirement.
  • Create Design System.
  • Design creative e-mail marketing promotion using MailChimp.
  • Setup Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for Enhance Ecommerce.
  • Conduct Design Sprint for Redesign Website to increase web traffic and revenue.

Reflection

What I accomplished.
  • Connect to all Division
    Pasangiklan.com has a small team, so I have to connect to Board Manager, Marketing, and Business unit.
  • Analytics Skill
    As UX Designer it is important to know the basic Google Analytics, so I know the user traffic, what user do, what they need or what they dont understand on our platform.
  • More Research
    I Also conduct user interview to know what they needs, pain, or gain, what to need to improve on our platform.
  • Communication & Presentation Deck
    Several times I've been challenged to conduct a design sprint, I learned to make a presentation deck as simple as possible so that users wouldn't be confused.
  • Adaptive
    Working in a media company means I have to follow ongoing trends so that we are not left behind with the latest updates that users need, whether stakeholders or platform users.

  • Jixie (New Product)
    Jixie is a Media-Tech company that provides AI-based data intelligence for Publishers and Advertisers to the media and marketing industry.
  • Tribun Jual Beli (Redesign)
  • Kompasiana - Micro Influencer (New Feature)
    Kompasiana is a blogging community platform.
    Why Micro Influencer? Because of they have small follower, their followers will know the influencer more like they know their own friends. Therefore, their followers will have more confidence in the products and services sold by influencers and read the storytelling captions posted from start to finish.
  • Kompas App (Redesign)
    Kompas App. It's an online newspaper.
    In this product I have to revamp and do UX Audit to increase performance app by following core web vitals best practice.
  • Kompas Play (New Product)
    In this case I was assigned as product owner, I was targeted to add more traffic, new users, and new revenue streams for our online news readers. So I initiate to develop Kompas Play to reach new readers, especially young people because reading levels in Indonesia are very low.
